The Trenton Museum Society Is Currently Seeking Trustees For The Trenton City Museum

We’re looking for a few special individuals to join the Trenton Museum Society Board of Trustees for a three year term starting on July 1, 2016.   board-meeting

Since 1978, the Trenton Museum Society, stewards of the Trenton City Museum, a non-‐profit, 501c3 tax exempt organization, has improved the lives of residents in the greater Trenton region through art and history related programming and community advocacy.

Located in the historic and beautiful Frederick Law Olmstead designed Cadwalader Park, Ellarslie mansion houses the state capital’s permanent art collection. The city museum is unique in that is also includes rotating exhibits in history, and on site gallery options. Ellarslie is the striking John Notman designed, architectural central jewel of the park.

Our programs, exhibitions, lectures and events make art and history an accessible experience for all.

If you believe that art is transformational to communities, have a passion for supporting artists and history or want to bring change to all through diverse culture, then consider joining the hard- working volunteers on our Board of Trustees.

Board members have an exciting opportunity to help advance the Trenton Museum Society’s impact in a meaningful opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, stretch and grow leadership, governance and management skills, become involved in something big, exciting and creative, and significantly give back to the community.

If you would like to voice your interest to join the diverse and dynamic people on the Trenton Museum Society and have a few hours a month to support the areas of finances, education, marketing, programing, and exhibitions to support the society, let us know!

For more information or to send your resume and a cover letter indicating your interest, please send to director@ellarslie.org.

Previous board experience is valuable, but not required.
