A glimpse into a Trenton family’s magical department store excursion

Catch this exhibit on our upper level through January 22

All aboard the Christmas Express! We’re making a stop at the year 1956, when the Wassam family visited the Lit Brothers Department Store in Trenton. Their pictorial story, captured in NJ Bell Telephone publications, shows parents Terry and Theresa and their three children, 5-year-old Charlene, 3-year-old Lennie, and baby Joanne as they experience the wonder of the Christmas season in the store’s toy department. Here, Lennie and his dad take a sleek Ford Country Squire for a spin.
