On view until March 2025

This exhibit on houses by Ellarslie Mansion architect John Notman and his designs in the Greater Trenton area is the third collaboration of Trenton City Museum with landscape architects Rebecca Flemer and Evie Timberlake. Previously seen at Princeton Public Library, the display explores the connections among four presidential villas in Princeton: the Walter Lowrie House, Springdale, Prospect House, and Guernsey Hall.

Designed by Elizabeth Sagarese, this exhibit emphasizes Notman’s contributions to the burgeoning field of landscape architecture. The exhibition was made possible with support from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
