The Trenton Museum Society invites members and guests to view rarely seen art and artifacts on display for one night only on Saturday, October 11, 2014. These are items in the collection at the Trenton City Museum that are in delicate condition or in need of repair, including books, maps, furniture, and paintings. Participants will not only be able to view these rare items and discuss them with the experts on our staff and among our trustees in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, but they will be able to “adopt” them. Those with a love of Trenton’s history and art will be especially interested in this unique opportunity to contribute to the restoration or preservation of some of Trenton’s most interesting creations, including works by iconic Trenton artists George Bradshaw and Tom Malloy. Donations will forever link the sponsor to the preservation of the history of Trenton and to the Museum.

The cost to conserve the artifacts ranges from $50 to much larger amounts. Donors will be able to contribute to the full or partial restoration of larger items or pieces that require extra care allowing for a broad donation price range. The greater amount donated, the greater the restoration potential will be. This year several monumental paintings depicting the John A. Roebling’s Sons Company in its hey-day will be available for adoption. Contributions will be noted with a commemorative label for each item.
