Highlights of American History
Patriotism was high in the Ninth Annual Sport Nite, held on March 24, 25, 26. “Highlights of American History” were showcased with the WACS and the WAVES and World War One songs. This is the first year that the large, curved gymnasium windows were covered and artistically decorated by both teams’ Decorations Committees. Novelty numbers were eliminated to extend the time of the competitive Marching to placate the audience complaints. The Originality numbers were replaced by “Victory Exercises”. A Dance was scheduled as a fundraiser for costumes, and tickets were priced at $0.55. The Black Team triumphed over the Red Team.
