Annual Holiday Boutique
December 2 & 3, 2017
Holiday Shopping
Saturday, December 2 from noon – 6 pm
Sunday, December 3 from noon – 5 pm
The weekend event includes holiday sales in the festive atmosphere of the Trenton City Museum where patrons can browse for one of a kind gifts of high quality, hand-crafted jewelry, original art works, ornaments, clothing and accessories, Trenton memorabilia and antiques, and much more. The museum store, Molly’s, the Shop at Ellarslie, is stocked with oodles of tasteful and unique holiday gift items for children and adults and is open not only during the boutique but also during regular museum hours throughout the holiday season.
This year, on Saturday evening, there is a special pop-up show and silent auction of the nearly 40 plein air paintings of Cadwalader Park and nearby Cadwalader Heights neighborhood created by area artists. The silent auction begins at 4 pm. Refreshments will be served.
Shoppers will be serenaded by the Delaware Rive consort on Saturday, December 2.
The annual Holiday Boutique supports the collection and programs of the Trenton Museum Society and showcases the talents of local artisans. The boutique has become a premiere holiday event featuring diverse and interesting art and crafts that will attract discriminating shoppers.
Plenty of free parking is available in front of the museum in Cadwalader Park. A barrier-free, accessible entrance is located at the left end of the building.
The Delaware River Consort, a vocal quartet founded in 1983, has performed throughout New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. The group’s repertoire consists primarily of a capella sacred and secular music of the fifteenth through twentieth centuries with an emphasis on the European Renaissance and Early American periods. The Delaware River Consort has performed extensively with several early instrument ensembles including La Spirita, the Engelchor Consort, and Spectra Musica. An appearance in the South Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s subscription series was one of the group’s many highlights. The group offers programs with selected cultural, historical, and seasonal themes, and is available in period costuming, when appropriate.
