Visual Thinking with Sticks and Blocks with Beth Daly –  Join us for a unique art making experience. Students will create a series of experimental works using the simple building materials, as used by the teacher in her latest series, on display in the workshop room. The class will teach children new patterns of visual thinking through their artistic experimentation.

Bleached t shirts

Bleached T-Shirt Bonanza with Alia Bensliman – Join us for a fantastic fashion class! Experienced teacher Alia Bensliman will show us how to create cool designs on ordinary T- shirts using creative bleach techniques. Students should bring a dark colored T-shirt to work with. All other materials are provided.

animal patternsPatterned Animal Paintings with Antoinette Marchfelder – Students will learn about color theory, and line work with Antoinette Marchfelder who will teach us how to paint in her signature style! Students will leave with completed animal paintings on canvas.

Art=changeArt = Change Workshop with Robert Seda-Schreiber – Art=Change will inspire students to create art that  calls attention to important issues & show them how artists can be real catalysts for positive change in their communities, both in a political & social manner. It will be an exciting combination of instructional learning & hands-on drawing activity. This workshop is being taught by Robt Seda-Schreiber, Chief Activist of the soon-to-be opened  Center for Social Justice.

Fantastic Felt and Fiber with Nelly Kouzmina   – Learn about the transformation
of fibers into hand made fabric, called felt, using simple tools – your hands, water and soap.

Come and play with soft wool and make unique felt cloth.

african art

African Art Adventure with Meaghan Impellizzeri – Students will create original works of art inspired by our latest African art exhibit. Pablo Picasso was deeply influenced by African art resulting in his cubist portraits. Students will draw inspiration from the exhibit as well as their own creativity to create colorful and unique self portraits.

 

March 10, 2018, 10 am

collageContemporary, Cool and Cooperative Collage with Nancy Shill –This class will teach innovative collage/mixed media techniques to tap into the imagination. We will create abstract individual and cooperative projects.

 

 

 

Workshop Fee: Members: $10 per workshop, $7.50 sibling discount.

Non-members: $12:50 per workshop, $8.50 sibling discount.
