Once again, the Trenton City Museum is proud to present the amazing art work of Trenton’s youngest aspiring artists – the students of the Trenton Public and Charter Schools. The museum has been hosting this show every other year for the past two decades, and it has always been a favorite among our patrons. In past shows, 550 pieces were on display and we expect as many if not more this year. The fabulous art teachers of Trenton who guide these students in their creativity are to be commended for their dedication.
The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 4 until 6 pm with music by The Trenton Central High School Orchestra, a dance performance by TCHS dance students and readings by TCHS drama students. Refreshments will be served.
The closing ceremony will be held on February 28 , 2016 from 2-4 pm with musical entertainment by the Grace A. Dunn Middle School Orchestra.
The public is invited to both receptions hosted by the Trenton Museum Society. Admission is free.
This program is made possible in part by the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission through funding from the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment of the Arts, and through a grant from the I Am Trenton Foundation.
