Over the River:
The Artists of Yardley in a Juried Exhibit of Members
November 10, 2012 – January 6, 2013
Gallery Talk about the Exhibit
December 16 ~ 2 pm
The juried exhibit features more than 70 works of art by members of the Artists of Yardley (AOY). The captivating works selected by juror Bruce Rigby, professor of fine art at the College of New Jersey, represent a range of styles and media including oil, watercolor, photography, ceramics and jewelry.
Several years ago, when the former director of the Trenton City Museum realized that many of the highly qualified works being submitted to the Ellarslie Open were created by members of the Artists of Yardley, the genesis of the exhibit arose. The members of the Trenton Museum Society Exhibits Committee developed the idea and are extremely pleased with the quality of the work in the resulting exhibit.
The Artists of Yardley, established in 2004, is an arts organization in the Yardley, PA area. The organization has more than 200 members working in multiple disciplines and offers classes and workshops taught by professional-level instructors. The organization’s monthly meetings are open to the public and are held in the AOY Art Center in Yardley, PA on the first Wednesday of each month.
