Fine Craft Demonstration — Joyce Inderbitzin and Geoffrey Noden
Sunday, July 14, 2013 2 pm
Eighteen notable and respected fine craft professionals from across the Delaware Valley have been selected to show their work. The exhibit features more than 70 works representing an array of styles and materials including ceramic, fiber, jewelry, paper and wood.
The Delaware Valley has long been fertile ground for the development of skilled crafts, beginning in the late 17th century with the establishment of the first potteries in the region. With its proximity to the metropolitan areas of New York and Philadelphia, and an emerging middle class with an income and aesthetic desire for the acquisition of beautiful, functional items, Trenton had become, by the 1880’s, a center for the decorative arts.
Ceramic and woodworking demonstrations by Joyce Inderbitzin and Geoffrey Noden will be held on Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m.
