Fun Night Out at Ellarslie

Starting on March 20, mark the third Friday on your calendars, gather your friends, bring the beverage of your choice and enjoy an evening creating a painted tile, a dramatic piece of felted art or a work painted in wine! No experience needed.

All workshops begin promptly at 7 pm.

In this workshop, you will learn different techniques for applying alcohol ink to tiles or other non-porous surfaces. Alcohol ink is highly pigmented ink in an alcohol base. This is a fun, colorful medium that anyone can do – no artistic or painting experience is necessary.

 

note: gloves are provided, but please dress accordingly as the ink will stain clothing.

 

$5 materials fee payable to instructor.

 

Nelly Kouzmina - Felting#2  April 17, 2015 – Magic of Feltmaking – Cobweb Felt with Nelly Kouzmina

Explore the magical transformation of wool fibers using traditional nomadic and modern felt making techniques.  Create a unique cobweb felt accessory – soft and luxurious scarf or wrap.

Excellent workshop for those who took basic felt making as well as for beginners who like to explore modern felt making techniques.

Materials fee payable to instructor: $25.00

 

 

Wine Painting of Ellarslie, Mark Schreiber

#3  May 15, 2015 – Painting with Wine with Mark Schreiber

Join us on the veranda, and experienced artist Mark Schreiber will guide us through the steps to create our own masterpieces using wine.  You can paint the scene using your own supplies or ours.  This workshop is suitable for everyone from beginners to experts.

No materials fee.

 

 

Workshop Fee: Non-members: $45 for one workshop, two workshops for $82, all three for $120

Members: $40 for one workshop, two workshops for $72,  all three for $105.
