The 2016-17 season has seen many successful exhibits and events. The public and press love us. They raved about the summer-long combined art and history exhibit Against All Odds: Inspired by the Life of Paul Robeson, produced in collaboration with the Paul Robeson House of Princeton. They flocked to lectures, concerts and other special events. Tertulia in the Museum, our first ever all Latino artists exhibit was a big hit, followed by the collaboration with the Garden State Watercolor Society for their annual juried show. Furniture as Art, pairing contemporary furniture design with paintings of interior scenes, gave our patrons a new way of looking at the familiar. Of course, patrons continue to visit our permanent collection of Trenton-made porcelains and ceramics and enjoy the rotating history and culture- based exhibits on the second floor of the museum.
As proud stewards of the Trenton City Museum’s permanent collection, the members of the Trenton Museum Society, now in its 44th year, are thrilled with our success and we are planning more exciting exhibits and events for the rest of year. But we need your help. We are asking our loyal supporters to invest in the future of the collection and programs at the Trenton City Museum with a generous donation.
