At first glance, it’s lovely, but what do you seen when you give yourself time to really look?

Saturday is Slow Art Day, an annual event in which 170 museums and art galleries in the U.S. and around the world are participating this year. Here’s how it works:

  • Show up at Ellarslie on Saturday, then “look slowly—5-10 minutes—at each piece of pre-assigned art.” You’ll have the whole museum to yourselves.
  • Discuss your experience with other participants.

The discussion at Ellarslie will be facilitated by internationally respected sculptor, Harry Georgeson.
