D&R Canal State Park Hike
Meet at Ellarslie
Saturday, May 9, 2015
11 AM
Free and all are welcome
Sponsored by the Sierra Club and the Trenton City Museum
Surrounding the Museum and divided by the D&R Canal Feeder, Cadwalader Park was designed in 1891 by Frederick Law Olmsted and has hundreds of trees that are rare at this latitude. We’ll spend some time touring the Museum’s Exhibits and Collections before and after the hike. Our towpath hike will take us along the canal toward Washington Crossing Park. Along the way we’ll see spring wildflowers and turtles sunning on logs.
Bring lunch and water and snacks.
Leashed dogs are welcome! Inclement weather cancels.
