In order to expand its collection of contemporary art, the Trenton Museum Society has been purchasing works of fine art from artists who exhibited in the Ellarslie Open art show held annually at the Trenton City Museum.

Since 2002, the Society has been assembled a representative collection of art from the finest artists in the region. Artists such as Paul Matthews, Steve Smith, Tom Chesar, Joyce Inderbitzin, Charles McVicker, Justin Jedrzejczyk, Paul Mordetsky, Louis Russomanno, Larry Chestnut, Dallas Piotrowski, and more, are included in the collection at Ellarslie.

Due to space limitations this artwork cannot be exhibited on a permanent basis. This exhibit represents the first time that the Museum Society has exhibited all of the artwork that has been purchased from Ellarslie Open XX through XXIX together at one time.
